Aaditi Lele

I edit and write opinion journalism — and bring it to readers.

Just over 15 years ago, I was a 2nd-grader new to the United States and sorted into an “English as a Second Language” class. Today, I'm an Audience Editor in the Washington Post's Opinion section. I joined The Post two years ago as an intern in Opinions. I became an Assistant Op-Ed Editor and then, most recently, an Audience Editor managing the Opinion section's newsletter portfolio.

I graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University, where I studied Political Science, Climate Studies, and South Asian Language & Culture. I was News Editor and Editorial Director for the school's student newspaper.

My focus has been to scale our newsletter portfolio quickly to help readers build habit with The Post on more surfaces. In the past few months, we've doubled our offerings, launching 6 new newsletters that cover everything from AI to religion to sports to midterm elections.
